4D Theatre

The 4D Theatre is located on the east side of the 2nd floor of Building B at the Beijing Planetarium. It is a multifunctional cinema hall that integrates popular science special effects cinema, conference halls, and stage theatre capabilities, capable of accommodating 178 viewers to watch films simultaneously.

Special effects system responds dynamically to the progression of the film, generating multiple sensory effects such as water sprays, air jets, leg sweeps, back taps, seat tremors, wind bursts, lightning strikes, and other immersive elements, all perfectly aligned with the on-screen events. These effects are authentically and in real-time synced with the film, allowing children to grasp scientific concepts through vivid and engaging stories, and adults to explore the mysteries of nature through thrilling adventures.
